Mahomes Finds a Loophole

NFL players are not allowed to endorse alcoholic beverages. Although retired players can sign on with a brewery, seltzer, cider or spirits, active players can not do so under their NFL players agreement. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes appears to have found a legal loophole; instead of endorsing a beer he’s endorsed “The Coors Light” a flashlight that ‘feels cold as the Rocky Mountains’. Reports are  the flashlights sold out in less than four hours. ZOO BREW, August 12, 2022, the Idaho Falls ZOO at Tautphaus Park. Sad Day for Suds

Twenty One years ago today tragedy struck a busy Bavarian motorway. A truck with an improperly secured load dropped nearly 15,000 bottles of beer, carpet bombing the pavement with lager that snarled traffic and brought tears to those who witnessed the carnage. Staffing of Emergency Trauma Centers would have been the appropriate response. This Day in Beer History

May 9, 1775 – As Delegates arrived in Philadelphia for the Second Continental Congress, they informally gathered at places which they knew were amenable to political discussion – Taverns. Located at fourth Street and Franklin Court the Tavern was also a hotel and several delegates made it their temporary residence. It served the same purpose in 1787, when in a ‘backroom’ style deal several delegates hammered out the ‘Connecticut Compromise’ which resulted in creation of
