Sapporo USA to buy Stone Brewing including both breweries (Escondido, CA and Richmond, VA). Production will shift to include Sapporo’s traditional brands much as has occurred in the company’s acquisition of Anchor Brewing Company. In San Francisco, the production of Anchor Steam has dwindled; this begs the question will the same fate befall Stone?
