Twenty One years ago today tragedy struck a busy Bavarian motorway. A truck with an improperly secured load dropped nearly 15,000 bottles of beer, carpet bombing the pavement with lager that snarled traffic and brought tears to those who witnessed the carnage. Staffing of Emergency Trauma Centers would have been the appropriate response.
