Moza Bock- Cervecería Centro Americana S.A. Guatemala City, Guatemala –Self-described as a Cerveza Oscura, this beer is fairly bright although that is difficult to distinguish because of its very dark mahogany color. It’s topped by a quick forming rocky tan head which appears to collapse just as rapidly as it formed. Caramel and dark fruit define the aroma. There’s a bit of dark caramel and the flavor is almost, but not quite that of chocolate. A soft spice and grassy trait makes a brief appearance then disappears. Mouthfeel is almost, but not quite, creamy. Hops add enough to balance eh beer without being noticed. Carbonation is low. It’s not exactly a Bock and neither is it a Dunkel.

Look forward to the announcement of Dates for the 11th annual Downtown “Santa Crawl”
