Milwaukee- based Sprecher Brewing, founded in 1985 has been sold to a Milwaukee based investment group. No details were release on financial terms for the brewery which sold 9,000 barrels in its last reporting year; at it’s peak Sprecher sold 25,000 barrels. In other news, Carol Stoudt of the Adamstown, PA ‘Stoudts’ Brewing has announced her retirement and closing of the brewery at the end of this winter after more than 33 years in operation. Production in the last reporting year was 2,400 barrels.
