Beers of the World – Boston Lager

Sam Adams Boston Lager – One of the first craft style beers, it’s in the general style of a German Lager, bright Amber\orange and topped by a light cream colored head. Boston Lager greets you with a caramel sweetness and a gentle aroma of noble hops leads to a malty flavor complemented by a low, hoppy, spicy character and medium body. The finish begins moderately sweet then turns medium dry. It pairs more readily with food than more hoppy  beers such as IPA’s. Sample beers like Sam Adams at Zoo

A Beaver Walks into a Bar

Last Friday (July 29th) a Beaver calmly walked into the Yew Tree Pub in Norton Canes, Staffordshire, England. Strolling through the Bar, it headed out the rear door and into the Beer Garden. Beavers, extinct in the UK for over 400 years, have only been reintroduced to the country in the last decade, but none were released anywhere near the Pub. If a Beaver is confident enough to seek out a pint, it must be a sure sign the reintroduction program is a success. There have been no Beavers sightings
