Today’s Virtual Beer – Crazy Donkey Ale Santorini Brewing, Sabtorinin, Greece – An American IPA brewed in Greece? Why not, craft brew continues to spread. Santorini’s ‘Crazy Donkey’ is a tribute of sorts to both a symbol of rural Greece and craft brewing. Amber Red with a touch of haze, Crazy Donkey sports a rocky head. Aroma is a hoppy, citric\spicy mix from Cascade and Nelson hops. New products: a sign of the times

Portland Cider company announced the release of “Ciderade” made from 100% Northwest apples with a splash of lemons and limes. It also acts as an electrolyte with the addition of Sea Salt harvested from Oregon’s Netarts Bay. Meanwhile, in Denver, River North Brewery has canned a “Malt and Hops infused seltzer”  they’ve named Seltzbier. California’s G&Juice of Los Angeles has developed a new line of CBD-Infused sparkling beverages in Ginger Peach, Strawberry Lemonade, Coconut Vanilla, and Blueberry Mojito. Abita Brewing of Abita Springs, Louisiana introduced its “Spring Loaded” spiked seltzer

This Day in Beer History

A soldier from Cambridge, Mass. on this day in 1776 noted, “Begun to draw the allowance for Beer”. It was by act of Congress which provided in soldier’s rations one quart of beer per day for all on active service. BEER FEST NEWS – DATE CHANGE

Organizers of the 26th annual Mountain Brewers Beer Fest in Idaho Falls have announced a change in date for the Beer Fest at Sandy Downs. The new date is August 8, 2020. This alteration of the date is solely to ensure the health and safety of all concerned: attendees, brewers, and our amazing volunteers. Any tickets bought for the June 6th date remain valid and will be transferred to the August 8th date.
